Delays on the CDMX Metro Continue

This Thursday, March 6, users of the Metro CDMX reported new delays on lines 3, 7, and 8. After the problems last Wednesday on line 8 with delays of up to 10 minutes, users were advised to leave earlier for school or work.

In the case of line 3, the wait to board a train can be up to 20 minutes, which has generated frustration among users. Line 7 and line A also have high congestion, with wait times of up to 7 minutes. On the other hand, lines 1, 2, 5, 6, 8, 9, B, and 12 have an average wait of 6 minutes.

Meanwhile, line 4 is the only one reported as clear, with wait times of 6 minutes, although deficiencies in the Collective Transportation System (STC) Metro have also been reported.

The delays on line 3 have caused frustration among users, who expressed their dissatisfaction through social media. Despite the explanations provided by the Metro regarding the inspection of a train on line 7, users continue to experience problems.

Complaints have also extended to line 8, where there has been a high influx of passengers and a lack of trains, which has generated criticism from users. Measures have also been requested to speed up the service and reduce wait times.

Regarding line 7, users have reported slow progress, stating that the actual wait time is much longer than indicated. In response, Metro CDMX has announced the dispatch of empty units to stations with higher demand to address the issue of high passenger influx.
